Marjorie Lee "Bobbie" Patterson,77, of Greenville died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Services will be at 4pm Monday at Coker-Mathews Chapel with the Rev. Dan Williford officiating. Burial will be at Memoryland Memorial Park.

She was born Jan. 29, 1924, in Merrick Community to Charlie Jacobs and Willie Sammons. She married Jerral Patterson on Aug. 22,, 1942, in San Diego.

Mrs. Patterson was a beautician who owned and operated Bobbie's Beauty Shops in Emory and Point. She also co-owned and operated Patterson Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. Mrs. Patterson was a member of Mineral Hieghts Baptist Church and the Altrusa Club.

She is survived by her son, Randy Patterson and his wife, Tammy, of Eemory; daughter, Sandra Allen and her husband, Gary, of Greenville; grandchildren, Angie and Tim Moore of Blue Ridge, Rod and Melinda Allen of Greenville, Amy and Jay Manning of Lone Oak, Kim and Jeremy Jackson of Satellite Beach, Fla., and Stephanie and Shane Samples of Wolfe City; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and four sisters, Jessie Feagin, Hazel Moser, Fay Williams and Ruby Nalls.

Visitation will be from 4pm to 6pm today at the funeral home.

Rod Allen, Tim Moore, Jay Manning, Bart Nalls, Don Carter and Harold Williams will serve as pallbearers.

Jerral Patterson

Emory - Jerral E. Patterson, 77, of Emory died Friday at Briarcliff Health Center. Services are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Ratcliff officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.

Mr. Patterson was born in Hopkins County Aug 20, 1922; the son of Tommy Patterson and Lena Adair. He married Marjorie "Bobbie" Jacobs on August 22, 1942 in San Diego, Calif.

An Army Air Corps veteran, Mr. Patterson was the owner of Patterson Refrigeration & Air Conditioning for 35 years. He started the business in Emory in 1955 and moved it to Greenville. He was a member of Mineral Heights Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Tammy Patterson of Emory; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Gary Allen of Greenville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Avon and Nona Patterson of Lone Oak and Johnny and Wilma Patterson of Duncanville; grandchildren, Angie and Tim Moore of Blue Ridge, Rod and Melinda Allen of Tyler, Amy and Jay Manning of Greenville, Kim and Jeremy Jackson of Satellite Beach, Fla., and Amy and Jay Manning of Greenville [sic, yes, listed twice]; along with 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Loyd Patterson and E.L. "Cotton" Patterson.

Pallbearers are Tim Moore, Rod Allen, Jay Manning, Bart Nalls, Jimmy Feagin and Jimmy Patterson.

Visitation is set for 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
