Mrs. Lena Adair Patterson, 95 of Greenville died Friday in Green Acres Nursing Home, Emory. Funeral services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will be in Donelton Cemetery.
Born in Hopkins county on Nov. 23, 1901, she was the daughter of Hosea George and Daisy Sue Williams Adair. She married Tommy A. Patterson in Greenville in 1920. Mrs. Patterson was a retired beautician and a member of Mineral Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Avon Patterson of Lone Oak, Jerral Patterson of Emory, Johnny D. Patterson of Duncanville and E. L. Patterson of Rockport; two brothers, Floyd Adair and Audrey Adair, both of Emory; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 8, 1977; a son, Loyd Patterson; two brothers, two sisters; three grandsons and one great great grandson.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Mark Patterson, Thomas Patterson, Randy Patterson, Ricky Patterson, Charlie Patterson and Jimmy Patterson. Honorary pallbearers will be J. P. Bowen, C. W. Hawley, Billy Ray Ishmael, Don Sprinkle, and Dwayne Patterson.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
