Funeral services for Loyd L. "Pat" Patterson of Greenville will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Vernell Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Donelton Cemetery.
Mr. Patterson died Wednesday afternoon at his residence.
He was born Dec. 20, 1920 in Lone Oak to Tommy A. and Lena Adair Patterson. He married Janet Headrick in 1967 in Orange. During World War II he was a sergeant in the U. S. Army, serving in the European campaign with the 36th Armored Division. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Oak Leaf Cluster, Silver Star and Purple Heart. He was a music store owner and piano technician and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, of Emory; a son, Rick Patterson of Dallas; a stepson, Mark Cooper Gaspard of Houston; three daughters, Jana Patterson of Kirbyville, Linda Patterson of Waco and Patsy Buckheit of Houston; five stepdaughters, Jimmie Nell Hearick of Houston, Judy King of Spurgef, Candy Zacharias of Gotebo, Okla., Lottie Lincycomb and Gigi Oswalt, both of Commerce; four brothers, Jerral Patterson of Greenville, Avon Patterson of Lone Oak, Cotton Patterson of Rockport and Johnny Patterson of Duncanville; 12 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Routh, Buster West and Zeke Passons.
