Census
1940 Census
I've searched the 1940 census for him several times without luck. He SHOULD be in Jonesboro, Arkansas at this time and I have looked at every single page of the census for that city. He SHOULD be at the Civilian Conservation Corp camp in that city and the camp is listed at this time but only names 4 residents. Each CCC camp supposedly held hundreds of residents so this could be the problem. I need to get his records from the NARA but copy fees range from 20 to 70 dollars and that is just way too expensive.
Timeline
My grandfather, Glynn, kept meticulous records of the facts of his life. Some of this was due to the stringent questionaires he had to fill out for the Department of Defense. With these records combined with my own research, I was able to create this little timeline of his life.
