Birth Name Change
Dewes Manon was born Margurite Jean and her father had her name legally changed. Sheila Stewart shared this story with me July 23, 2016:
All those children in my father's family were born at home with a midwife, the midwife named the children whatever she wanted to LOL. My grandfather had to later go to the courthouse to correct the names given for Dewes, and my father's birth as well. My father was named G.T. Stewart at birth, and was later changed to Billy George.

Obituary
Dewis Manon Braley went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2006. She was born to George and Hattie Stewart on July 14, 1932 in Commerce, Texas. Dewis is preceded in death by her husband, Herschel L. Braley in 1984. She is survived by a son, Jason Braley and a daughter Debra Bradfute, both of Irving, a brother Billy George Stewart of Grand Prairie, and a sister Ruby Sims of Irving, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Visitation is 7 to Visitation is 7 to 9 Monday, August 7, 2006 and funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 8,2006 at 10:00 Baptist Temple in Grand Prairie in Grand Prairie. Graveside services will be held at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville, Texas with Rev. Randy Tucker officiating.
