Mrs. H. B. Stewart Rites Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Bell Stewart who died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in Baylor hospital in Dallas will be held at 1 p.m/ Saturday at Lamar Baptist Church.
The pastor, Rev. Fred Brewer will conduct the service and will be assisted by the Rev. Titchman of Irving. Nephews will be pallbearers.
The Gray Sorrells and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Alabama, Mrs. Stewart was born Dec. 28, 1895 and was the daughter of Sammuel Walls and Emma Belcher Walls. She resided in Hunt County for many years but for the last four years had made her home in Irving. Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, George S. Stewart to whom she was married 48 years ago, three sons, J. D. Stewart, Greenville, R. V. Stewart, Irving, Bill G. Stewart, Dallas; four daughters, Mrs. G. L. Shockley, Irving, Mrs. V. T. Simms, Lubbock, Mrs. H. L. Braley and Mrs. J. L. Morrow, both of Irving; four brothers, S. H. Walls, Irving, Esker Walls, Cumby, Ottis Walls, Sulphur Springs, and H. B. Walls, Cumby; two sisters, Mrs. M. E. Green, Silverton and Mrs. Modena Gore, Greenville; thirteen grandchildren and other relatives.
