CADDO MILLS- J. D. Stewart, 61, of Route 1, Royse City, died Monday at 12 a.m. at his home after a lengthy illness.
Funeral service will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Rentfrow Funeral Chapel in Caddo Mills.
Born April 2, 1920, in Hopkins County, he was the son of George Samuel Stewart and Hattie Bell Walls. He married Ella May Willingham Aug. 19, 1939. Mr. Stewart was a self-employed sand and gravel salesman.
Surviving are his wife of Royse City; father-inlaw, B.J. Willingham of Royse City; sons J. D. Stewart, Jr and James H. Stewart, both of Royse City; daughters, Peggy Elmore of Caddo Mills and Regina Hudgson of West Tawakony; brother, Billy G. Stewart of Wills Point, sisters Ruth Shackley and Ruby Sims, both of Irving and Joyce Brayley of Grand Prairie; and nine grandchildren.
Rentfrow Funreal Home is in charge of the arrangements.
