Evelyn Gore and Joe Taylor Repeat Their Marriage Vows
Miss Evelyn Gore, daughter of Mr and Mrs. J. P. Gore, 1214 Oneal strete [sic], and Joe L. Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Taylor, of Josephine, repeated their marriage vows on Saturday evening in the Baptist Church at Josephine. The double ring service was read by the pastor, Rev. K. M. Startup.
The altar was banked with formal greenery intersperced with bouquets of primroses.
Mrs. K. M. Startup, organist, presented the wedding music playing "I Love You Truly;" "Because"; "Always" and "Oh Promise Me." The traditional wedding marches were used.
The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Bob Patterson, wore a Royal blue suit with grey accessories and a shoulder corsage fashioned of white carnations. She carried a white Bible topped with white carnations and showered with white satin streamers. For something old she carried a white handkerchief which belonged to her grandmother.
Mrs. Bobby Lee Abell, matron of honor, wore a navy crepe dress with navy accessories and a shoulder corsage of white carnations.
The groom was attended by Bobby Lee Abell, a boyhood friend.
The bride graduated in 1949 from Greenville High School where she was a member of the Flaming Flashes. She attended Draughan's Business College, Dallas, and now holds a position with the International Derricks Equipment Company, Dallas.
Mr. Taylor received his education in the Josephine Schools and served with the Marine Corps. He is now employed by Gordon's Jewelry Co., Dallas.
Obituary - Turrentine Jackson Morrow
Mr. Joe L. Taylor of Mineola, Texas was born February 22, 1928 in Farmersville, Texas. He passed away Saturday October 16, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He was the son of Lynn and Ethel B. Bowers Taylor. He was a retired automobile wholesaler and served in the United States Marines.
He is survived by 3 sons; Rick Taylor of Mineola, Texas, Ron Taylor of Winnsboro, Texas, and Rusty Taylor of Emory,Texas. He is also survived by 1 brother; Royal Taylor of Dallas, Texas and 1 sister Shirley White of Dallas, Texas, seven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by 1 son Rodney D. Taylor.
Visitation
Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hurst's Fielder Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville, Texas.
Interment
Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville with Mike Fletcher officiating.

FARMERSVILLE - Services for Joe Lindy Taylor, 82, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at IOOF Cemetery in Farmersville with Mike Fletcher officiating.
Surviving are his sons, Rick Taylor of Mineola, Ron Taylor of Winnsboro, and Rusty Taylor of Emory; brother, Royal Taylor of Dallas; sister, Shirley White of Dallas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Family visitation will be from 1:30 -2:30 p.m. prior to the service Tuesday at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville.
