The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Bob Patterson, wore a Royal blue suit with grey accessories and a shoulder corsage fashioned of white carnations. She carried a white Bible topped with white carnations and showered with white satin streamers. For something old she carried a white handkerchief which belonged to her grandmother.
Mrs. Bobby Lee Abell, matron of honor, wore a navy crepe dress with navy accessories and a shoulder corsage of white carnations.
The groom was attended by Bobby Lee Abell, a boyhood friend.
The bride graduated in 1949 from Greenville High School where she was a member of the Flaming Flashes. She attended Draughan's Business College, Dallas, and now holds a position with the International Derricks Equipment Company, Dallas.

This may be a morbid story, so don't read it if you are sensitive. Anyways, I remember when she was shopping for that tombstone and planning her funeral. She was so tickled and couldn't wait for the 'surprise' of having everyone see all her names on it at her funeral. Daisy Evelyn Gore Taylor Gilbert Botts. She hoped people would get a good laugh out of it. She also bought a heavy duty vaulted cover for her casket 'to keep the bugs out' she said.
